Vacation, Crafts and Pictures Lately

Here are some pictures from the past few weeks:

We learned the actual words to Sawyer's prayer.  He had been telling them to us a little wrong.  It goes: "We are thankful for this meal, for this meal

That is how we really feel, really feel
Good food makes us strong
Good friends sing along
We are thankful for this meal, for this meal."

Here are a few pictures from Santa Fe:

And a video of Sawyer skiing:

Sawyer has been really into crafts inspired by his Kiwi Crate:

The other morning he woke up early to make hearts for a little girl at school that he has a crush on.  When we got to school I asked if he wanted to go into her classroom to give them to her and he got really embarrassed and said he wanted to wait until the end of the day.   When I picked him up from school I asked if he wanted to take the hearts home or give them to her.  He said he wanted to give them to her.  He ran to his cubby, got the hearts and sat down next to her in the after school room.  He handed them to her and she said they were pretty and handed them back.  He said "No, these are for you.  I made them for you."  And RAN out of the building.  It was very sweet to witness.

We have also been working on getting ready for little brother:

Em's sweet girlfriends and Kelly had a Sprinkle for Em.  Here are some of the decorations adorning our home that came from the sprinkle:

Pictures lately

We've been busy around here.  Valentine's Day was really fun.  Sawyer made a box for his Valentine exchange at school.  He gave his friends pencils and pencil sharpeners.  He even wore his red chucks on Valentine's Day.

We took a great trip to Austin with Papa to visit Kelly, Jonathan and Asher.  Sawyer and Asher are best buds now.  The highlights of the trip for Sawyer were swinging with Asher, making picture stories with Papa in the car and riding the Zephyr at Zilker.

For Valentine's Day Sawyer got his chapter books.  He is really into Boxcar Children.  We're really enjoying it too because Chris and I don't remember it either.

Here are some other random pictures:
This is what bad guys look like.

Sawyer snuck into his lunchbox before school one day.  He is going through a growth spurt.

He visited mom at the doctor and got to eat cereal for dessert.  He likes this doctor stuff.

High-fiving with dad.

He insists on wearing his cape to dinner quite often.

With his new hunger he has even started eating vegetables.  Documented proof below as he eats asparagus in pasta.

He is so sweet.

See.  He really is going through a big growth spurt.

More sweetness.  Or he is working on his duck face.

He is also really getting excited for his little brother.  Pictures of the shared Montessori nursery/big boy bedroom are below along with the recent sonogram photos.

And mom continues to grow:
