Month 10 Pictures

Sawyer is 11 months old today. His personality has really started to develop. He is silly and laughs all the time. He loves being tickled. He is happy and always wants to hug. He kisses his mom when she picks him up from day care. He isn't shy. He even tried to hug the bag guy at Whole Foods recently. He is standing on everything and cruising around the house but he's still a little timid to stand solo.

Notice that one of his socks is missing. He is always trying to rip them off. As soon as we get him in the car seat he takes them off and throws them on the seat.


Sawyer loves to feed himself. One of his favorite foods is black eyed peas.


He is also into trying to feed other people. Sometimes he's really sweet and he'll mash the food up for you in his mouth and then try to feed it to you.

He thinks swings are kinda boring.

Standing and banging on glass is fun though.

Especially if dad is outside.

Don't touch his Mexican food.

His dad taught him how to howl.

He tears up the magazines that come to the mail.

And he's pretty dang cute.

After recieving a few Valentines Day cards and birthday invites in the mail Sawyer thinks all the mail is for him.  Check out the mess he made with the mail today! 

Sawyer likes fart noises

Sawyer learned how to make fart noises using his mouth this morning. We're pretty sure this is only the begining of his use of this sound. He has a cold so we're happy to see him feeling better and being playful.

We bought these stackable, rollable storage bins for all of Sawyer's toys that are slowly taking over our house. Who knew that the bins themselves were toys?!

Month 8

The past few weeks have been so fun! Sawyer has really started exploring the world around him. He is into everything!

He had his first Thanksgiving and promptly spit up pumpkin. He is really crawling now and pulling up onto things. He continues to be very easy going and is easy to take places. We took him up to Napa this month too. He mostly slept.

The army crawl

Sawyer suddenly started doing this funny, arms-only crawl and immediately became much more of a handful. His main mission seems to be sticking his hands in Gidget's water bowl.

I gave Sawyer a cooking pan to bang on while I was cooking dinner. He loved it! He might be a drummer one day! The noise in the background is an NPR special I was listening to while cooking.

In this second video Sawyer is "bugging out." He does two really cute/funny things when he is excited. He flaps his arms like he is about to fly and he bounces up and down. He's doing a little bit of both in this video as Chris eggs him on to "bug out."

7 months

This was a good month for Sawyer. A tooth finally came in. He figured out how to crawl (although in the opposite direction of where he wants to go). And he had his first Halloween. He went as a skeleton. Then we he got his skeleton outfit dirty, he went as a pumpkin.
