Dinosaur Valley Camping Trip

We had a great time camping with friends, old and new, in Dinosaur Valley.  It's our last camping trip of 2012.  Sawyer had a great time and was asking to go back on the drive home. 

12 Weeks

We're very happy to announce that we are 12 weeks pregnant. 

We've been waiting for this for a very long time and we're incredibly excited. 

I started showing very early with this pregnancy.  It's a symptom of a medication I've been on and I hear it's very typical of second pregnancies. 

Sawyer has been wondering if he's pregnant too. 

But he's really incredibly excited.  He was especially excited when we told him the baby would eventually share his room.  We told him that if the baby cried during the night he could tell it to "shhh."  He's asked us to repeat this several times.  I think he's very ready to finally tell someone else what to do.

Eisenhower State Park

We had such a great time camping this weekend.  It was chilly, but with great friends and a warm fire we hardly noticed.  Sawyer had a great time, and we can't wait to go camping again in two weeks.

Sawyer has been working on tracing his name at school. He was very proud of the work in his Thursday folder today.

Sawyer's dream

I took this picture as Sawyer told me about his dream last night... Except he doesn't know it was a dream he thinks this happened.

"all the birds flew off of my pillow and around my room, onto the curtains and into the stars. One of the birds looked like daddy. Did y'know orca whales don't like birds?"

This month at sawyer's school art class he is learning about self portraits. I love this self portrait so much. He swears that at some point it had two eyes.

The Lorax

Today was the Lorax day at Sawyer's school. They are seeing a live play of the Lorax and all of the kids wore orange. His eyes got so big at dinner last night when we told him that the Lorax was coming to his school.
